Tokyo DisneySea is a fantasy theme park in Tokyo Disney Resort, unique to Japan and completely different from other Disney parks around the world, being nautical-themed and part of the Walt Disney Company.

Inspired by the myths and legends of the sea, Tokyo DisneySea is made up of seven themed ports of call. Explore the Mediterranean Harbor, Mysterious Island, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, and American Waterfront, where you can encounter your favourite Disney characters.

Here are the different lands you can explore:

Lost River of Delta

In the Lost River Delta, which captures the vibe of the Caribbean coast of Central America, you can explore a fascinating temple filled with dangers and centuries-old jungle legends. At the heart of this area, you can’t miss the massive, crumbling Aztec pyramid, where the thrilling attraction Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull awaits you.

Port Discovery

A futuristic marina that spans the horizons of time, often referred to as “the marina of the future” or the “Tomorrowland” of DisneySea, this zone is home to Nemo & Friends SeaRider, a large simulator ride, and Aquatopia, a slick boat ride that uses “trackless” technology, the same as Pooh’s Hunny Hunt at Tokyo Disneyland.

American Waterfront

Two distinct ports of New York and Cape Cod from the early 20th century are filled with nostalgia. Keep an eye out for the show “Big Band Beat,” a suave 1940s swing jazz piece performed by a 12-member band and 20 singers and dancers. Arabian Coast

The magical and mysterious world of The Arabian Nights awaits you. Don’t forget to check out the super cool Magic Lamp Theater, which features a 3-D movie starring the Genie from Aladdin!

Mermaid Lagoon

Welcome to the light-hearted kingdom under the sea, home to The Little Mermaid and her friends! Make a beeline for the Blowfish Balloon Race, where seashell gondolas will take you on an underwater spin. And don’t forget Ariel’s Playground, an indoor play zone that kids will love. It features props and treasures inspired by The Little Mermaid, including a climbing fishing net and a cave filled with bounty and treasure.

Mysterious Island

In the depths of an active volcano, the enigmatic genius Captain Nemo built his secret base, leading to astounding adventures inspired by the works of Jules Verne. A must-do ride here is Journey to the Center of the Earth, a slot car dark ride that takes you through glowing crystals before you enter the heart of a volcano, where you’ll face a massive lava-centipede monster. Another ride you have to try is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, where you’ll hop on a submarine and take a detour to the lost city of Atlantis.

Mediterranean Harbor

Step into a romantic, southern European port town from days gone by, featuring a picturesque fishing village with quaint restaurants and an area of canals lined with charming shops. One of the zone’s main highlights is Fortress Explorations, a walkthrough exhibition where you can learn about nautical instruments and the Earth’s rotation.
